Take a Seat

Take a seat

It’s time to relax. You are nice and cozy in your seat, so put something on to occupy your mind as time goes by. For minutes. For hours.

You snap out of your trance and give in to the overwhelming urge to sleep. The pattern repeats as the days go by.

The conscious mind continues its lie.

No matter what you exchange the other details of your life with, the silent killer slithers about. It calls. Are you aware of how loud it yells?

Presenting itself as whistles and bells.

Time continues its relentless crusade as your body idles. It begins to take note of your habits and adapts likewise.

Forever ceaseless as your vessel dwindles, and dies.

Your legs grow weak. Your spine begins to bend. The muscles shrink, and your knees degrade. Aching as you flounder.

The body screams, but it screams louder.

Day by day, you sit. A car on idle never goes anywhere. Why would it be any different for you?

The vehicle for your soul.
